Three common misconceptions of novice networkers

1. ‘I need to sell on the day’ – forget this as no one is interested in buying and you will just alienate the people you really want to do business with.

2. ‘I need to collect as many business cards as possible’ – actually it is far better to have one card and to follow up than to have a thousand you do nothing with. Be a doer and not a collector.

3. ‘I need to give out as many cards and leaflets as I possibly can’ … and act like a card dealer – wrong again! This is a waste of time and a guaranteed quick way to genital herpes upset the people you meet such that they bin your card and tell other people how rude you are. Do it and you will be able to watch your Opportunity Doors close.
